Family Time

We left the old storage facility behind yesterday after closing up the office and headed to Brownwood. Visiting John's parents, grandma, our niece, the younger of the two daughters and our grandson. Staying with mom and dad while in town. This is their tree:

Today we took mom, dad and grandma to Chili's for lunch. Really good but as usual over did it. Tomorrow I will be cooking our family Christmas lunch to be followed by opening gifts. The menu:

Ham
Dressing
Sweet Potatoes
Green Bean Casserole
Fruit Salad
Dinner Rolls
Fudge
Dog Chow (my niece is making this - sure to be yummy!)

I have also busied myself today with wrapping our gifts for the grandbabies. This includes gifts for our granddaughter's first birthday the end of this month.

Other plans this week include going in to see our doctors while in town for our regular checkups. Tuesday we'll be meeting with an old friend for lunch. And one evening, I'm guessing Monday or Tuesday, who knows it could be today, we'll meet up with some other friends here in town. Looking forward to this time with friends and family - always fun!

  1. I so envy you! Mine and my husband's dream is to travel in an RV and see all the beautiful places there are out there. We have a small RV we use for weekend camping trips now, but for traveling long term, we'd like something a little more roomy. Sounds like you have a busy, but fun time ahead of you. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!!!

  2. April it's about to get even more exciting. We are going back to guarding oil/gas well gates. We'll be moving around every 3-6 months, mostly in South Texas.
