On Wednesday we had a couple come down that are new to gate guarding. They spent Wednesday night getting set up and resting from their trip. Then Thursday we began their training, yes - actual training for gate guards! After that we were given the weekend off, yes a whole weekend, actually more than the weekend, four days - Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We needed to get out of the dust so we could seal the RV where the storm back in May had opened it up. We headed up the road to Choke Canyon State Park. Got the RV sealed, now it has plenty of time to dry before we had back to the dust bowl and we have time some R&R! Bonus - when we get back the other couple will be staying on with since this is already a high traffic gate and it is expected to get busier beginning next week. Here is the plan for the coming week:
Sunday
Fajitas* with Super Easy Guacamole and chips
Monday
Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tenders served over a Yummy Salad
Tuesday
Cream Cheese Burgers with Onion Rings
Wednesday
Pepe Boudreaux's
Thursday
Seafood Pizza
Friday
Chili Dogs with Spicy Baked Fries
Saturday
Queso with Jalapeno Poppers
Looks like a delicious menu! So glad that ya'll had a break and were able to repair the RV. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you must be having:) Four days and being together out in public, lol!
ReplyDeleteI bet the 4 days off were a nice break!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I can't believe how lucky I am. I love food blogs but to find a food blog and RV living and working blog is golden for me.
ReplyDeleteWhere can I find out about companys and employment doing exactly what you and your husband are doing? I am single and can travel year round.

My husband has a blog, http://adventuresofjohnandterry.blogspot.com/, On The Road With John and Terry. If the link above does not work, you'll find it to the left on my blog list. He has a lot of information posted about this job and how to get started.
DeleteThank you, I will check it out.
