Well I did manage to get one of the recipes from my sister.The second one is top secret and she does not share it. Here she is with our mom:
She did not actually make the toffee herself, a friend made it. I have not made it myself yet, but it seems simple enough. The Recipe:
1 c butter
1 1/4 c sugar
1/2 c chopped nuts, although you can use any it was really yummy with salted peanuts
1/2 - 1 c chocolate bark, chopped
Melt butter, add sugar and boil to 300 degrees. Add nuts. Pour onto buttered foil-lined baking pan. Sprinkle the chocolate on top while still warm. Allow chocolate to sit for a minute to soften, the spread. Let cool, break into pieces and enjoy.
