Well, I think things are starting to settle into a routine around here. I am at least going to attempt to make a plan for this week. I also have a few recipes that I have not posted yet and hope to do so later this week. If the schedules for the coming weeks are any indication, I will be working M, Tu, W on the graveyard shift and possibly one other day later in the week. I am about half expecting this to change since the other person who works nights can't work on Friday nights. We shall see how they go about fixing this in the next couple of days. Now back to the menu. I am literally making this up as I type, keeping my current schedule and what is already in the freezer in mind. Getting a little off track again, I have decided on a rather long name for my blog, let me know what you think. It reflects the new, while keeping the old as well.

Big Changes Part 2
An update on all that has happened in the last couple of weeks. Two days after my last post was a day of tremendous blessing. First I received a job offer, then we received some much needed rain and thirdly John called to let me know he had worked things out with his boss and would be joining me soon.
The position I accepted is a part time position at the Hampton Inn here in Brownwood as a Guest Services Assistant, aka Front Desk Clerk. I say it is part time, however, this is my second week and for the second week I scheduled for 40 hours. Not complaining, I like the job but once training is completed I am going to request the keep me at 24 to 32 hours.
John was able to keep his job and joined be here in Brownwood three days after my last post. His boss is going to allow him to work from this area on a trial basis of 30 to 60 days, then they will re-evaluate.
I have decided on a new name for the blog - Adventures in Life with Great Food. Well I say I have decided, now that I have typed it out, I'm not sure I like the ring of it. I'll think on it a little more. Thanks for everyone's support!!
