Sight-Seeing With the Folks

After another yummy lunch at China A we decided to take the folks out to see some of the sights. Our first stop was The Big Tree.

It is believed to be over 1000 years old!

This tree is huge! With an average trunk diameter of 11 feet and a crown spread of 89 feet!

Then we drove along Fulton Beach Rd just enjoying the view. We slowly made our way to Aransas Pass where we boarded the ferry for Port Aransas.

Then we headed to the local public beach.

 Got a picture of a sandman - or at least that's what I'm calling it. It made me think of a tiny snowman made out of sand so sandman it is.

John's dad caught a picture of us - unintentionally I think.

Then it was back across on the ferry followed by a leisurely drive home.
