These were the yummiest pork chops I have had in a LONG time, maybe ever! I'm thinking about trying this recipe with chicken breast as well - yumm! I pinned this recipe for Crunchy Honey Soy Pork Chops from Mrs. Schwartz's Kitchen back in July, I can't believe I waited this long for something soo good!
4 boneless pork chops
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup liquid eggs or two whole eggs, beaten
2 Tbsp canola oil
2 Tbsp butter
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp water
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1 Tbsp lime juice
green onion, optional
Combine flour with seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, poultry seasoning and black pepper; set aside. Pour eggs into shallow bowl or plate.
Dredge each pork chop in flour, then egg, then back into the flour again - this is what gives it that nice crunchy coating. In a large skillet heat the oil and butter on med-high heat till butter is melted. Add the pork chops, cooking for about four minutes on each side.
Remove from pan. Add the minced garlic to oil remaining in the skillet. Cook for about two minutes on med heat. Add the water, honey hoisin sauce and lime juice and bring to a simmer. Using tongs, take each pork chop and flip it in the sauce. Garnish with green onion and additional sauce if desired.
Serve and enjoy!
