I think I have found my new recipe for beef tacos! These were really yummy, we will be making these again - possibly very soon. I found this recipe at Ready Set Eat, to see the original recipe just click on the link.
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 can diced tomatoes and green chilies, we used extra hot
chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, red pepper and salt
2 Tbsp water
5 whole wheat tortillas (8 in), warmed
toppings of your choice; we used avocado, sour cream, shredded cheese and shredded lettuce
Brown ground beef till done. Pour in 1/2 of the can of tomatoes and green chilies, with juice. Add seasonings to taste and water.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for about ten minutes. Drain juice from remaining 1/2 can of tomatoes and green chilies, set aside. When meat is done, spoon onto tortillas and top with the drained tomato and green chilies.
Serve with desired toppings and enjoy.
