Glazed Pork Chops

I do not remember how I found this recipe but I do remember where I found it - Budget Bytes. You can find the original recipe here - Glazed Pork Chops. I love the way she breaks down the cost of each recipe and gives you both the total cost and cost per serving. It's great when you are trying to stay on a budget. I had pinned this recipe months ago and just tried it Wednesday night. I wish I had tried it sooner - we both LOVED it and it was simple to make -- that's a win, win in my book! There is a total lack of pics with this post. I took the first two and then did not even think of taking another pic until I was down to nearly the last bite. So there is no pic of the final product, sorry.

4 thick cut pork chops
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne or red pepper
2 Tbsp olive oil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for RV ovens).
In small bowl combine brown sugar and seasonings. Rub on both sides of the pork chops, using up all of the brown sugar/spice mix. In skillet heat oil.
Add pork chops and cook over med-lo heat for four to five minutes on each side. Transfer pork chops to a foil-lined baking sheet (if your skillet is oven-safe just leave in skillet) and bake for about five minutes. Remove pork chops from oven. Drag each side of pork chops through the excess sauce in the pan. Serve and enjoy!!

  2. Bought a huge pack of pork chops last week, split them, froze them. All that needs doing is figuring out what to do with them. Problem solved! I love this part of the recipe: drag through the excess sauce. Makes me smile.

    Thanks for linking, Terry!
